Characteristics: Small species measuring about 2.0cm to 2.5cm in length. It is brown, orangish or beige, with black spots spread longitudinally on its body.

Distribution: This species is distributed in Southern, Southeastern and Midwestern Brazil, from Southern Minas Gerais to Southern Uruguay, reaching Southern and Southeastern Paraguay, Northeastern, Eastern, and Central Argentina.

Habitat: Open formations, usually found in small accumulations of water.

Habits: Crepuscular, nocturnal and arboreal; it may hide among the leaves of bromeliads during the day, where they can find moisture ideal for its survival, including during the dry months.

Diet: Small insects and arthropods such as mites, spiders and harvestmen.

Breeding: Oviparous, reproducing in temporary or permanent lentic environments; during spawning, the eggs are attached to aquatic plants. These frogs vocalize almost all year on grasses and sedges on the banks of water bodies.

UFRA: Species found in seven of the ten environments, except in Mixed forests in regeneration, Native forests and in Fields in spontaneous regeneration.
