Characteristics: Small species measuring about 2.0cm in length. Its back is brown, with darker longitudinal stripes.

Distribution: This species is broadly distributed and can be found in Southern, Central, and Eastern Brazil, Eastern Bolivia, Paraguay, and Northwestern Argentina.

Habitat: Open areas in forests, edges of riparian and gallery forests, lakes and ponds, fields, pastures, and muddy soils.

Habits: Active throughout the day, preferably at night, arboreal, on low vegetation, and permanent bodies of water.

Diet: Small insects and arthropods.

Breeding: Oviparous, and reproduction is prolonged. Males use both low and high shrubs to vocalize from, and they form arenas around temporary puddles and still water on the banks.

UFRA: Species seen in Wetlands with Herbaceous Plants and Restored Native Forests.
