Characterization: Small to medium-sized species measuring about 23.5cm in length. It has a white ring around its eyes and green plumage that contrasts with its yellow feathers it has on the edge of the wings.

Distribution: Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil (from Mato Grosso and Goiás to the south of Pará, Maranhão, Bahia, Minas Gerais, and São Paulo).

Habitat: Savanna, gallery forests, scrubland tree or orchards.

Habits: A diurnal species, this bird associates in couples and, when the hatchlings are born, families gather forming numerous and noisy flocks. It usually hangs upside down when threatened.

Diet: Herbivorous, more specifically granivore and frugivorous, feeding on native seeds and fruits.

Breeding: The couple punches arboreal humps, where it lays two eggs.

In the UFRA area: This bird species is considered rare within the studied farms as it was only seen 2 times. Its spatial distribution was restricted to the restored exotic forests, the only habitat where it was found.
