White-headed Marsh Tyrant

Characterization: Small species measuring about 14 cm in length. The male has a white head and black body, and the female has grayish-brown upper parts and a whitish lower part, and only a white forehead.
Distribution: From Guyana and Colombia to Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil, and Argentina.
Habitat: Wetlands and marshes, or on their shores.
Habits: Diurnal, migratory, monogamist, and aggressive species, showing nervousness through sudden movements of its wings. It has the habit of sleeping in flocks or seeking a more sheltered place to spend the night.
Diet: Carnivorous, its diet consists of arthropods such as insects, spiders, etc.
Breeding: It lays 2 to 4 eggs in nests built shaped like a ball.
In the UFRA area: This bird's spatial distribution was restricted to the restored native forests and drainage ditches. It is considered little frequent, as it was spotted only five times.
