Characterization: Small species measuring about 11.5 cm in length. They are yellower on their abdomens, with a little white on the lore and behind the eye.

Distribution: Northeast, east and south of Brazil (to Rio Grande do Sul), Goiás, and southern Mato Grosso; also in Misiones and in Paraguay.

Habitat: Edge of the forests, secondary forests, and on the tops of the trees.

Habits: A diurnal species, this bird associates in flocks of 3, 4 and even more individuals. The nervousness they show when fly and jump around in leafy branches is characteristic of this species. This bird is monogamous and territorial.

Diet: Carnivorous, mainly insectivorous.

Breeding: It lays its eggs in nests built jointly by the couple.

In the UFRA area: In the studies done at the São Francisco Sugarmill areas, this bird's distribution was limited to wetlands and forests. It is considered little frequent, as it was spotted only 20 times.
